What is personal brand photography?

1

Personal brand photography is a collection of professional photos that show the person behind your business – who you are, what you do and why you do it. Alongside portraits, it can include images of you working, your workspace, your products and the things that inspire you, giving you a library of photos for your website, social media and marketing.

Who do you work with?

2

I work mainly with women founders, creatives and change makers who run values-driven businesses and want to make a positive impact. I also photograph teams and work with charities and non-profits on documentary projects.

Why do I need personal brand photos?

3

People buy from people. Showing the face behind your business helps potential clients get to know, like and trust you – and visitors form a first impression of your website in around 50 milliseconds, long before they read a word. Strong, authentic photos help you make that moment count.

It depends on how many images you need and how much variety you'd like. The Brand Story shoot is a two-hour session with several locations and outfits, ideal if you want a full library of images. The Founder Story shoot is a 45-minute session in Brighton for a fresh set of portraits and lifestyle shots. Mini shoots are 20-minute sessions in Shoreham or Hove, perfect for a quick refresh, and professional headshots are ideal for LinkedIn and bios. If you're not sure, book a free discovery call and we'll work it out together.

Every shoot starts with a questionnaire about your business and goals, plus a preparation guide covering what to wear and bring. For Brand Story shoots, I also create a detailed shoot plan with locations, outfits, props and a shot list, use a shared Pinterest board to capture the look and feel you're after, and we fine-tune everything together on a clarity call.

Most shoots take place in Brighton, Hove, Shoreham and across Sussex, and I regularly work in London too. We can shoot at your home, office or studio, or in cafés, parks and by the sea. I'm happy to travel further for a travel fee.

We'll briefly talk about location ideas on your discovery call. Then, for Brand Story shoots, exploring locations is a key part of our clarity call. I'll share my advice and suggest plenty of cost-free options, and if you have extra budget for a very specific look, such as a hired studio or venue, we can explore more tailored options too.

Wear clothes you feel comfortable and confident in, that reflect your brand and the way you'd dress to meet your clients. Solid colours and soft textures tend to photograph better than busy patterns or large logos. Your preparation guide includes detailed styling advice, and I'm always happy to look over outfit options with you before the shoot.

Absolutely. Pets, team members, clients and collaborators can all help tell your story. Just let me know when we're planning, so we can build them into the shoot plan.

How many photos will I get, and how soon?

You'll receive your online gallery within two weeks of your shoot. A Brand Story gallery typically has around 90 images, with 15 digital images of your choice included, and a Founder Story gallery has at least 50 images, with 6 included. Mini shoot galleries have at least 20 images, and you choose how many to buy, individually or in bundles. You can buy additional images from any shoot, but there's no obligation.

How much does a shoot cost?

Do you offer video?

Can you help with my brand story and messaging?

The Brand Story shoot is £550 and the Founder Story shoot is £325. Mini shoots have an £80 shoot fee, with digital images at £30 each, or £80 for 4 and £120 for 8. Professional headshots are £150, and corporate packages are tailored to the size and needs of your organisation.

Yes. I create brand films that tell your story in a way that connects with your audience. A typical brand film is 2–3 minutes long and includes story development, scripting or an interview, half a day's filming on location, editing with two rounds of revisions and music licensing. Brand films start from £1,500, and every project can be tailored to your needs.

Do you work with charities and non-profits?

Yes – and you're in good company, as most of my clients say the same. Putting people at ease in front of the camera is my superpower. I'll guide you through every pose, keep things relaxed and fun, and capture photos that feel authentically you – on your very best day.

Shoots range from 20 minutes for a mini shoot or headshot session, to 45 minutes for a Founder Story shoot and two hours for a Brand Story shoot.

Yes. Every package includes a commercial licence, so you can use your images online and in print – on your website, social media, marketing materials, press features and more.

Yes. My Uncover Your Story Power Hour (£125) helps you get clear on your story, mission, vision, values and tone of voice, with follow-up sessions available at £50 an hour. For deeper support, Create Joyful Content is a three-month 1-2-1 programme (£1,800) covering your brand, content strategy, Canva templates and iPhone video, leaving you with a content calendar for the year ahead.

Yes. I've spent most of my career documenting the work of charities and NGOs, including as international writer for the British Red Cross, and I offer documentary photography, video and storytelling for mission-led organisations in the UK and internationally.
